Topping Out Ceremony - 30 July 2024
On Tuesday, 30 July 2024, we celebrated an exciting milestone in our school’s journey—the topping-out ceremony! Topping out ceremonies are a time honoured tradition that signify the successful completion of the structural phase of a project. This special event marked the completion of the highest point of construction for our school building.
As part of the event, we welcomed our builders (Hutchinsons), our architects (BVN), our project managers (Colliers), senior executive members from the Department of Education, the team from Schools Infrastructure NSW, the Lord Mayor Clover Moore from the City of Sydney Council and her team, Ron Hoenig, member for Heffron and Minister for Local Government, Green Square Public School staff and importantly the parents of one of our foundation students. The topping out ceremony was an opportunity to acknowledge the journey of our school from concept to construction and to celebrate the next steps as we get closer to opening with our foundation families and community.
